Desktoplinks.com is a directory of websites that contain (or closely relate to) free desktop enhancements, including screensavers, desktop themes, wallpaper, skins, graphics and fonts. A listing in our directory increases the traffic and link popularity of your website. All websites in our directory are ranked according to the amount of visitors they send to us.

After you successfully submitted your site, you will receive a unique URL that you will have to use to link to us. Every time someone clicks on that link, a "vote" is added to your website's listing in our directory. The more votes you get, the higher your website will be listed.

• Do not submit websites that are not in the English language.
• Do not submit websites with illegal, gambling, adult or offensive content.
• Your website must offer something for free, preferably related to desktop enhancements. If your website is not about desktop enhancements, submit to the "Other" category.
• You can only submit a website once. If your website fits in more than one category (e.g. if you offer both screensavers and desktop themes), then submit only to one of those categories.
• Your website must offer valuable content. Submissions of topsites and other directories will be denied.
• Do not submit websites that have extreme amounts of pop-up windows or require an ActiveX download.
• In order to appear on the list, you must send at least one visitor every 72 hours to the unique URL given after submission.

Note: Every submission is manually reviewed. We reserve the right to edit and/or deny any submission.

• I lost my password. What can I do?
  Go to the password reminder page and enter your e-mail address. As soon as you click on the "Remind Me" button, an e-mail containing your username and password will be sent to you.
  
  
• Why don't you display statistics of the websites listed?
  We feel that displaying the statistics on our directory pages does not have any value for our visitors. It confuses them and it wastes valuable space on our pages.
  
  
• Why don't you track outgoing hits?
  We do not track outgoing hits for several reasons. Your own statistics give a better view on the unique visitors you receive from us, and the use of a tracking script decreases the value of a listing in our directory as some browsers and search engine robots are unable to follow the link to your website. The cons of tracking outgoing hits outweighed the pros, so we chose not to.
  
  
• Why did my site disappear?
  The list resets every 3 days, to give everyone a fair chance of appearing high in the list. During this reset, all votes are set to 0 for all members. In order to re-appear on the list, your site must get at least 1 vote since the last reset.
